Potential blog roll again?
yeah..
couldnt help it
tho i cant remember any more
just as i opened up the typing bit
damnit..
phil tho today?
mm i like talking about phil
could just be coz i dont TALK in phil
its a random comment here and there
you'd think
with the whole like feel free to say whatever you want
well within limits of the whole tutor guidance
that it'd be easy to say what you think
but it just aint always that way i guess
esp with the when you say a single word..
EVERYONE just suddenly turns their head towards you
its like sudden spot light
thrown into limelight
tho since one of the main contributors to the tute
changed to another tute
you'd think that this tute'd be like hella quiet
but predictions can be wrong
it turned out ok
what with a few random silences speckled here and there
tho thinking about the content of the actual tute
based on both morals and alturism
i wondered whether or not it was just general talk
or the fact that i havent read enough of the course content
but from my own understandings of it
it seemed sorta in a way completely contradictory
basically?
i dont say anything cos i may be wrong?
despite the fact that what they're saying
doesnt in its own ways match the line up
hmm that's a not good on my behalf
but tho then again
dont think after hours worth
i could really be bothered arguing against
a particular individual just cos
they tend to be highly opinionated
point of this?
zero again
just cos i felt like typing
sleep time
chem tomoz

Songs, Reception and Connection...
This post could yet again fit undre the category
of like the title of the previous post..
this is written the time of pure procrastination
but since i just finished a phil tute a while back
little more than a few hours ago
i guess its a plausable reason why im typing away
i have a POINT to make
not htat it matters..
its just my random supposed rationalisations
of like what is widely accepted
or not widely accepted..
well whatever
its sometimes common sense and sometimes not
anyways
reception and connection?
basically its for the love of phones
as much as i may dislike casual phonecalls
one thing i surely cant deny
is bascially that well the phone
mobile or landline is something that
well nowadays you cant imagine living without
what with like the nth time ive walked outta my house today
AGAIN without my phone
i was caught in between the decision
of forgoing having a phone for the day
or to turn back and risk missing the bus
YET AGAIN
and well
as per usual the result turned out i'd rather
miss the bus than to forget my phone
i have to have my phone on me
and reception?
oh gees dont even get me started on
how frustrating it is when there
is no reception for phones at all?
so basically..
fone conversation dislike
lack of reception dislike
why do i always have to have my fone on me??
basically
isnt it essentially a comfort thing?
to know its always there
that you're connected to the rest of the world?
that basically
through these pieces of metal plastic and what other not
you're part of the circle of what's around you?
that at any time you can be reached
(providing you answer the phone)
but with sms as well
is it not increasing the connectivity between people?
but at the same time
you wonder about the whole sms dumping
is the increased connectivity decreasing the human interaction?
meanwhilst
im sitting here with only a single song
playing on repeat
is it not that there are those songs that reach out to you?
yep..
ive talked bout songs before too
tho you know. those were memory recalls
where as..
well this is on repeat
just cos i wanna hear it
i want it playing
i want it on
i want to hear what its saying to me
not that its directed at me
but you kno
you like to assume
bleh.
feels incomplete and complete at teh same tiem
probs not as indepth as i'd like it to be
but my brain is starting to hurt..
probs cos im really tired
nite nite

Pure Procrastination
Why is it during the stressful times
that the allure of blogging is so welcoming?
hmm other than having to do the actual work
i guess blogging is always the available alternative
with an essay due in exactly 24 hours
of which i've only just started
this is really not a good start to the uni yr
hmm
now ive actually gone over the word limit..
damnit..
now must some how finish then condense -.-
damn essays and damned limits
nite nite

Altruism...?
so.. yep
altruism is sorta i guess a warm-ish topic? :P
mm well listened to about it in phil
as of late
well sometime earlier this week
i think it was mon..
i just cant figure anymore
but yeah
thoughts that came to me?
i guess come to me when im in a huff..
annoyed at something or the other
and well for once..
you know today?
strange.. it was triggered by rain..
mm yeah well getting caught in the rain
can be an agitative thing
anyways
after a double phil session
(yep lecture n tute)
followed by trekking through the rain
in an attempt to meet up AH
since he called TWICE during my phil tute
after my phone battery died
i decided to walk through one of the walkways
in search of cover from the drizzle
and in my grizzly mood
(hmm grizzle n drizzle?
looks like im just replacing consanants
for my vocab these days -.-)
in the midst of my walking
i sorta realised strangely
i was sorta walking against the general walking direction
like what the?
its 5pm and people are walking TOWARDS the uni?
OR.. i just cant remember properly
anyways
i still yet to manage to notice the 3 people standing there
and as one was wearing theose graduation robes
sorta staring at the crowd as they trekked past
then looking at them
the assumption that came to my mind
was that they'd need a photo taken
walking over i meekly asked if they needed a picture taken
took it and returned their camera
tho they asked if i wanted to take a picture with their daughter
:S
anyways
was off on my merry way
when i started wondering...
i had a sore arm..
sore leg
entirely tired
weighed down by the load of books
phone dead
slightly rained on
and in a hurry to meet someone up
WHY THE HECK DID I STOP TO TAKE A PIC FOR SOMEONE?!
hmm probs not in an angered insane tone of voice
but thinking about it..
what made me in my annoyed state
bother to even care enough to take it for em?
so walking through an underpass
i began to think about the existence of altruism
gees.. you'd think after 2 hours worth of listening
i'd be sick of phil?
well truly not..
mainly coz i didnt contribute at all
coz i had no interest in darwinianism
i still have little interest in darwinianism
we are what we are.. next topic
tho the altruism on the other hand
it interests me
well possibly coz it conincides
with the whole charity recognition deal
but other than the fact you feel good
after doing something that helps people?
why would you do something nice?
and would anyone just do anything for the sake of feeling good
isnt that in itself a benefit?
why do we then not really like doing chores?
i for one HATE the dishes
im thinking we do it coz we'd like it
if someone did the same for us when we need help
but not everyone may tick that way
i like it..
the feeling of helping someone
but then i just realised that
how do you know you actually in the end helped?
or was it just an impulse pang of guilt or pity
that in the sight of someone in need
that you feel obligated to do somethign
so in the end its just the self-interest
of removing the pang
YOU feel better for doing something
but just that it may not help at all
or is it for the fact that
it raises your own self confidence
that you in yourself have the power and ability
to DO something
it raises you up.
makes gives you a notch of superiority
a confidence boost even
that you helped a "weaker" person
or a person in need of a hand
if its confidence boost then yeah
i'd say it'd explain why i enjoy it so much
its something for those who lack the confidence
the reassurance
that yep they did something supposedly right for once
they didnt stuff up
they didnt trip up
they didnt embarress themselves
it was right
or to the degree of their belief they did something right
anyways
i shall leave it at that thought
im actually sleepy
like near falling asleep at the keyboard
nite nite
*hugs*

Let Me Go... Lost To Me...True Blue..
you know
i blogging is just so therapudic
(spelling? dunno sorta looks funny)
yep now that's been restated..
memories..
(sound familiar?
dw reason behind this one SHOULD be different
actually the reason for this post is completely different
so its ok.. but a lotta the content will/may possibly
be similar to previous material
so if you've lotsa study to do. its ok :D
and im not intending for this stuff
to be entirely understood so yep if its fuzzy strange?
its ok its just my thoughts atm)
the current..
the present
everyday flicks and flitters away from us
the second moments ago already gone
hmm just like a fast trackked clock
or those movies where the days of a desk top calendar
just tear of and float away
disassociate!!
-.-
what's new.. whatever seems to stay
day after day turns towards a predictability
predictability you know what's gonna happen
and in terms of time.. it soon becomes always there
a constant..
somethign that you begin to internalise
no longer new but then again always there
somethign you know you turn away from
and turn back and you assume to still be there
it neutralises
and you internalise it as a norm
its normal
its everyday
you feel as if it'll be everpresent
changing but still in its basic self
it should still be there
changing but at the same time constant
somethign that you know that will be stable
you suppose.. no matter what
you can think even
of the future with this constant still present
everpresent that it'll keep going on
you just cant think of an alternative
that there's possibilities
that there are alternative endings
from the forever ongoing days shall work out the same
and then
the inevitable
tho you choose not to think about it
your norm is no longer there
that for some reason
or the other
its not going to be possible
either sacrificed
or something else
for anything lost
its either by sacrifice for another thing
as a choice as we cant commit any longer
or you just realise..
its no longer there..
for some other external reason
nothing seems to be able to remain forever
otherwise we just wouldnt be able to appreciate it
but then again
of the things we already have
what do we take for granted?
too many god damned things
and you just dont realise it
not until its lost
lost to you
out of your reach
and the only way you can find it again?
seek comfort in familiarity?
or just plain pulling out of memories
the memories with their faded edges
where details have become hazy
and even as you seek
the familiarity
the memories
the most vivid
will still be tarnished
and of the vivid
you pull em out and you realise
that they would be the closest to the most recent
or the most cherished memories you have
for the most cherished you revisit more often
the memory is well maintained
you bring it up and you dust off the haze
the dust on the memories and once again
its closer to new than the older ones
and the most recent?
you just made it..
the time has yet to lay its hands on it..
and so..?
changing a 5 year constant
something that's been there
for so long?
its too much to actually have to think about
an absence of somethign that you thought you would always
think that would be there
or something more?
what of the last 13 years?
that's basically most of my existence
taking that way
thats just well
something thats inconceivable
and you think
that for something that you had no choice in
for so long
that you felt a lil dislike for
just because of its presence
it was the root of your problems
the root of restrictions..
taken away
what does it leave you with?
what is there left?
what you base everything aruond
or at least
somethign that you identify yourself with
gone..
poof..
vamoosh...
GONE
oh the choices
the chances
the changes
opportunity lost
can rarely be regained
so is this what you want?
is this what i want?
do i even have a choice at all?
of course!!!
NOT..
i have no hand in this
and so i just sit
sit and watch
as the world goes by
as my constant is taken away
but at the same time
in its absence
what is there to do?
but search for new?
to take the other matter into your own hands?
just take it
change what you can
leave what you cant
and deal with what is within your own limits
for thats as much as you can really do
pointless?
yes
helpful?
yes
del shall do it again some other time?
mm as usual.. blogging is good
so YES
nite nite

Must...Study...
Looking at the date
and actually trying to date-ise my notes
i realised.. OMG
the time really has past so quickly
with one test done and two coming up
i just cant believe that well
omg.. everything seems to have been fast tracked
something such as evolution
which took like a term to cover in h bio last yr
has just been over and discarded in like 2 n half weeks
that's less than 9 lectures..
less than 9 HOURS!?
well more work on our behalf if we dont get it at all
could be why i didnt do that well in the online test thingy.
not enough self-initiated study..
and social wise
for some people its like i see them everyday
and others
its so strange not seeing them daily anymore
and sadly it feels as if i may just slightly
leaving them behind in the dusttracks of my life
thats something that really dont want
and something im not willingly intentionally doing
but its seems as if that's what's really happening
tho with uni being this large
you can just sit back. look around
and sooner or later see someone you know
unless you're me and the number of people you know
is so limited that you have to call people up
to find out where they are to find someone to spend time with
============================================================
atm.
trying to get study done
or more of the actual pre-tute/labs
then after that study for tests..
tho i really gotta get these
done so i dont end up sitting there in a lab/tute
going what the hell are they on about
meantime i wonder how the heck i got through yr 12
without getting ANY hw done at all?
its surprising really
im actually trying to get work done
well until just now where i just started typing this
tho one thing's for strangely sure..
i love my h bio text book O.o
its all in COLOUR!! :D
well the non-anth related one that is
i seriously never came across so much reading i had to do
hmm... maybe coz i didnt read enough in lit..
getting some organising done
and i also realised.. seems like near no assessments?
but they're worth so god damn MORE -.-
*sigh*
yay!! finished my 7 pages worth of pre-lab
and yet to have done my anth
or study for chem or h bio
gees.. dont i love the work load?!
tho then again.. partly is my fault
leaving to so late..
and lately sleeping so much too
wel that is.. the supposed study time
i was meant to have but spent sleeping
since i was dead tired
ok
nite nite
*hugs*
(i personally am thinking unfinished post
BUT.. no post in ages.. so shall leave it here)

First Days.. All Over Again
yep..
first few days are done and over
well nearly. got today then im done for the week
just like everyone else. who doesnt have pupil free
despite the new campus which is something i've
still got to entirely learn where everything is
uni life, surprisingly just feels like going to school
maybe coz i really dont mind having lectures
and well cadets involved sitting in lectures and writing notes
so guess its not a concept entirely new
====================================================
Yep..
the week's over
and well
dont really notice much change from yr 12
cept for the fact that well the LINES to buy books are HUGE
the books (new note) cost a HELLUVA lot..
tho second hand still costs bout as much..
i cant believe i actually have time BETWEEN classes
what with the lack of free periods last yr
well not lack of.. just my choice not to drop any subbies
its into the second week
and its so BLARDY hot..
i swear
last week was last week of summer
and was fully autumnish
but this week is officially autumn..
and its Summer-y
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
the only really airconned place is the octagon i swear
so cold that i nearly caught a cold even
my uni/school life?
im amazed that after a 1 nearing 2 weeks of this
that ive been scolded over the fact that
apparently im not at home enough
so..
being good..
i came home early today
and guess what?
NO ONE IS AT HOME!?!?!
whats the point then may i ask?
of me being at home
i cant guard the house
strangely..
ive a queer tendency for bumps and bruises
ever since schools started all over again
tho i dunno why i keep refereing to it as "school"
just the fact that ive spent the last 12 yrs of my life
going to "school"
so basically
busy life is back to the way it is all over again
despite the minor or major changes
its still something relatively familiar in the end
pointless post?
yes..
shall end it here

*hugs*
first few days are done and over
well nearly. got today then im done for the week
just like everyone else. who doesnt have pupil free
despite the new campus which is something i've
still got to entirely learn where everything is
uni life, surprisingly just feels like going to school
maybe coz i really dont mind having lectures
and well cadets involved sitting in lectures and writing notes
so guess its not a concept entirely new
====================================================
Yep..
the week's over
and well
dont really notice much change from yr 12
cept for the fact that well the LINES to buy books are HUGE
the books (new note) cost a HELLUVA lot..
tho second hand still costs bout as much..
i cant believe i actually have time BETWEEN classes

Early Morning...
its about 5:30 am right now..
and what am i doing?
blogging coz there's these few words
that keep bugging me
not that they're annoying
just they keep going around and around and..
you get the idea
without blogging for a while YET again
i keep thinking that how the heck?
is it im just plain not thinking anymore?
or that im on overfilled brain and
that this is slight indication i wanna
blog something out
i dunno..
it feels good when i blog
just straight picking of the words
i think of going straight from my mind to the sceen
the words? (sorry for going off track)
blogging lets my mind roam..
"sweet abandon"
i dont know why?
i just wake up..
feel like total crap
yet the words sound so good to me..
i keep thinking about the two words
and then..
the next thing..
the next word "demise"
so "sweet abandon and demise"
"sweet abandon IN moral demise"?
i dunno.. too early in the morning
to be actually thinking about the meanings of the words
coz atm i dunno what they mean
well.. i know what "moral demise" means
(its from my lit essay on cloudstreet last yr)
but "sweet abandon"? still swimming in my head
maybe its from a song..
or some movie? or a book?
cant think of it anywhere atm
just the sound of it sounds good to me
"sweet demise" ?
nope dont sound the same
i still like "sweet abandon"
but i DONT UNDERSTAND WHY
gosh this feels like a diary..
a dairy where im just rambling on
as the usual happens
it feels good :)
so yep
this is a snippet of del's brain
her thoughts that she's rarely had
since like.. school started
think i should go get some reading done
not like i can sleep anyways now
-.-
enjoy the day

Monkey Business
This shall be a work rant..
wait.. correct that and put in vent..
Note: I am a cheapskate.
Lesson 1 of life? READ the FINE PRINT
known widely (well.. widely in the neighbourhood)
for selling bananas at the price of 99c a kg
in the past..
the rise in banana prices were not good..
BUT
with the fall of the cost of bananas..
i DON'T understand WHY people
are STILL so whiny about buying bananas
this is how we sell:
- $4.99 a kg loosely
- $1.99 a kg in bags of 1-2 kg
there's those who are willing to pay $4.99 a kg for bananas
coz they only want one for lunch
makes sense yeah?
want a lil. jus buy the stuff that's there
ends up costing them max of $1 a banana..
depending how big a banana they want
BUT there's those particular individuals..
who walk past the signs..
think OMG $1.99 a kg
what a bargain!!
yeah true it is a bargain
(hmm there's some farmers whole sale place selling
em for like $1.49 a kg near mirrabooka square)
esp after the huge price peak when it was what?
12, 13 14+ dollars a kg..
then take a look at the bags..
then think "oh wait.. i dont want the WHOLE bag"
go in and ask..
"oh could you open a bag
so i can get 1 or 2 bananas outta the bag"
OR
"why cant you sell em in smaller bags..
no one wants so many"
there is a reason why we put them in bags..
we need a profit from it.. if you want it cheap
go by whole sale where you have to bulk buy a box
and have it the same price we get it
you see.. if EVERYONE only bought 1 banana
from the $1.99 a kg.. it'd take forever to sell
and we'd have overripe bananas on excess
THAT is why we sell em by the bag..
(but then again..
whoever IS reading this i doubt really cares)
next type a person?
after seeing the sign..
doesnt mind the sizing of the bags..
take the biggest possible bag they can find of bananas
take the bag of bananas
and bananas only.. so therefore arent buying ANYTHING
BUT BANANAS
i put em on scale
type it in.. and ask em for a certain amount
and with their selective hearing
decide not to hear what i say and hand me a $2 coin
meanwhilst i stare at em blankly and say..
no its actually [insert price]
hearing this.. they realise
and go off on a tangent..
on about HOW the sign is misleading..
NO the FREAKING sign is NOT misleading
YOU are the freaking person who chooses to SELECTIVELY read
it's not misleading because :
* ALL the words on the sign are written in the same font
therefore not fine print
(that is these signs are printed out ones)
* the sign specifically says "A KG"
not "A BAG" like the other signs
which show the pricing of bags of fruit n veges
and sooner or later..
they give up and reluctantly hand over the money
but there are those particulars
who just get miffed over it
and just decide to put it back
and not want any at all
hoping for prices to fall further
and you know..?
its not like you cant eat em all
the bags are a mix of ripe and unripe
so you can leave em at home to like ripen
whilst you eat the ripe ones first
and in the end its about $3 or 4 a bag anyways
i dont understand the workings of those people's minds
maybe bananas are just to some people luxuries
that with their budget they cant afford..
except for the fact that they live in my neighbourhood :S
stingy maybe...?
that's the only explaination i can think of..
its just sorta like weird..
they see the bag pricings and try to pick out
the biggest possible bag
but weight wise it just increases the price of the bag
and its not like there are such bargains out there..
shops sell things at prices so they make a slight profit
or the lowest possible loss..
they dont price things for your benefit..
they need the money to stay at their location
to keep running insteada closing down
as small as the point behind that vent was
the reason why its been getting to me??
its occured for the last TWO months
please people.. those bananas are there in bags
the sign says "A KG"
"KG" is a key word you look for when shopping for veges
you see em on a LOT of the signs..
it suggets by weight therefore variable cost
thank you for your co-operation
or.. for this.. more of you reading if you bothered to :)
WORK VENT 2
This isnt aimed at a particular number of occurences
this is aimed a SINGLE gentlement..
tho the likelihood of him reading i hope is 0%
ANYWAYS...
its a vent based on the idea.. that HELLO
unlike you.. (and probs unlike me till uni starts)
there are people who have basically have NO time in their lives
to get EVERYTHING done
there are staff shortages
and only a certain amount of jobs
can be done over certain amounts of time
THEREFORE.. those with HIGHER priority
are done FIRST and those that are of LOWER priority
is put LOWER..
and the SIGNIFICANCE of the prioties
is to be deemed by the staff who HAVE the list
and KNOW what needs to be done.
pricing is a MAJOR thing in shops yeah..?
having the prices up-to-date is an even higher priority..
and therefore the highest priority..
its to keep the scanny system uptodate on prices
which means the prices are first corrected there
followed by the prices on the shelving.
when new stock comes in..
the process invovles the CHECKING of all the stock
the opening of stock
the shelving of the stock
the checking of the RRP of stock
the CHANGING of the RRP of the stock if incorrect
on the scanning system
the DAILY chaning prices of fruit and vege
the written labels for the new stock pricing on the shelves
that in the end means that..
for new stock..
there may not always be a visible price
and the point of this vent is that the particular individual
EVERY time he visits decides to seek out an unlabelled shelf
and point it out..
demanding for a reason to why
there is no price for the particular item
(damn tall people.. their tallness
make them seem so much more imposing when they're angry>.<)
*sigh* picky and demanding people
guess that's all ive complained about
anyways
nite
(unless i bother with another)
*hugs*

Chain of Friendship
Chain mail i got..
A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps themselves
and doesn't feel even the least bit weird
shutting your 'beer/Pepsi drawer' with their foot!)
A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.
A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.
A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook
and stays late to help you clean.
A simple friend hates it when you call after they've gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.
A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.
A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it.
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over
when you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.
A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!
yep that's it for the moment

Paranoia...
Following spending so long on my recaps
i sit here and im like..
oh wait..
what about all those net stalkers
that like we were warned against..
in like when?
back in yr 10?
back when the school discovered
that there was a mass usage of blogger
and friendster and that we should not as students
expose ourselves by writing about our everday lives
recounting every detail of what we did and where we're like
on accessible places on the net such as friendster..
thinking back.. the usage of words then
was a total laugh.. as friendster at the time
had still lacked the function of blogging..
yep..
pictures and details of my life
and the fact that there are people out there
who read and then spend their time piecing together
bits of other people's lives.
mm reminds me of that article in the paper a few weeks back
bout paedophiles talking to kids online
and there was this side section bit
which was like "how to decypher chatspeak"
i was reading and was like O.o
i've never heard of let alone used 95% of these
tho then again some of the stuff there
i was pretty sure i DIDN'T need to ever use
so all's good :)
that's bout all i feel like talking bout now..
so...
nite nitey

EXTREMELY Belated 2005 Recap..
Well since im not really doing much online
mite as well start something im gonna procrastinate over
(Note: this post was started Feb of this yr..
therefore details may be sketchy..
or i may have different views to what i may have had then..
and also parts of this may get choppy as well..
2005 was 2 yrs ago and im finishing it off
so that i can sorta get a double recap in
and obviously to recap 2005 in detail closer to the end..
would be too much effort for me alone..
so on the very last note..
if you wish to pry on what major-ish events occured for me
over the last 2 yrs.. ENJOY!!!)
Post-Typing Note:
As this has taken forever to complete..
it has been cut in half.. the second portion.
which was meant to be a 2006 recap? has been moved
so that this could be published and the 2006 will come later..
2005..
Yr 11..
The Year:
- of the Rooster -
Yes year of the rooster, well yes..
i really dunno what else to comment on that so yeah..
- I first got sunburnt -
SUNBURNT..
I got SUNBURNT, well sorta..
just mainly tanned skin that was red-ish..
then turned peel-y :S
after i spent a whole day at adventure world..
THE FIRST TIME I WENT TO ADVENTURE WORLD... ah well
and it was with my sister's friends.. how sad..
but at least i got to go!! :D

- of Grandpa over in Perth -
Yes he did, and i'm happy
and thankful he care enough to come visit us..
travel SO far.. and endured so much..
well not really.. 2 plane flights aint much
but for the elderly.. i think it was quite a feat..
GO GRANDPA!! :D
- of absolutely NO S+E -
YAY!!!
but which i was recommended for -.-"
and i might have had a better average if i had taken
and would understand more of geog if i did
- of Birthday on Interhouse Swimming Carnival -
somethin diff...
well it was good enough..
that is to my memory :S
but i do remember heaps hot n humid >.< - of Choral Camp -
well um.. hot..
lots of yr 8s n 9s screaming..
and a hilarious quiz night

- of SAVE STEVE CAMPAIGN -
When Eurest came in..
well what had happened from my views was..
we were sitting on a table/bench on great court..
then out of the canteen ran a purple-ish looking man..
then a while later..
the front of the canteen was surrounded by students
it seemed everyone...
just slowly gathered round and soon the whole court was outside the "cafe"
the "purple-ish" man turned out to be steve
whom had just found out he was made reduntant
and that the catering from then on
would be done by an international catering company...
this really struck a nerve with the students..
obviously the shock on some lunch time
when he [Steve] burst out loud..
in the protest against his redundance..
the "save steve" campaign was formed..
and well
it even got into the post..
yeah.. front page ^^ Go MLC :P
with the whole senior school..
esp the senior yrs questioning our principal..
we even had year group on principal talk..
but really the yr of spreading of those lovely lil flyers..
and the posting of one of em on the principal's car..
the final decision was to boycott Eurest when it came in..
but really i think till today..
didnt have much affect..
the canteen's busy all over again anyways..

- of Ki-ya (YAA) -
mm the lovely cases of ours :P
made of lovely satin material..
that we spent HOURS on..
both on discussions in meetings...
and the creation of em..
as well as so many evenings..
trying to desparately sell them..
to advertise em..
to get rid of em in exchange for money..
to break even and get ours and our shareholders money back
as well as gaining something for buying so many shares

- of Orchestra -
got to know how its like to play in one..
thinkin back..
it was an interesting experience..
despite the fact that there were early mornings
and some late arvos
and i had no concept of timing anyways..
its something to have taken in..
playin in a whole orchestra
tho i missed out on the actual farewell tour performance..

- of my Last ANZAC Parade -
sad thing i guess..
the anzac parade is something that ive always enjoyed..
well not really the whole being screamed at..
but i loved drill..
esp much when i actually get everything right..
but then again.. who doesnt??
I miss drill...
- I quit Cadets -
The last few years were filled with fieldcraft
and also flying camps..
something that was always enjoyable..
well other than the actual signing of forms
which always required a witness signiature
And to that.. ive got to add.
the leadership camps were something to have remembered
despite my complaints of never joining the army
after my first fieldcraft camp back in yr 9..
its something that i'll remember
from the 10km walk to the actual obsticle course
i hated the freaking wall tho.. couldnt climb that :(
Quitting Cadets really wasnt a big thing.
it was really coz it was due to excess consecutive AWOL.
but i was away
and couldnt be stuffed going back to actually report them
There were many times enjoyed thru cadets
from the whole training camps in the hols..
which meant i actually lost out on at least half a hol at a time
- of Instrumental Camp -
Something of which was sorta pointless
but important i was there for..
i was going to the music tour coz i played the harp..
there was a harp part in only one
of the songs the orchestra were gonna play
so i wasnt needed most of the time..
but it sorta was important i had more time
to work with the actual orchestra
im a play by ear person..
and well..
its sorta hard to practise with only me
coz there aint no orchestra as well
so its hard to work out where i actually fit in..
in the song and when to play and not to..
i had such large issues actually understanding the conductor
i just didnt get gallo's gestures unless he actually pointed at me..
-.-
- Buddha's B'day -
This year..
i remember having to teach the dance i did the year before
to more ppl so they'd have to dance too
cept in the end it rained..
the stage was too slippery
so no one had to do it..
yet we all got vouchers to go round for stuff :P

- of the family reunion!! -
It was Grandpa's B'day
Family really is an important thing..
even if you have to miss school
and really i dont think the school likes me that much either..
what with the 3 family occasions i had as my reason for
missing out on in the last 3 years..
but this time it reallly was special...
on ONE particular night..
we had the majority of the family
in ONE place at the same time..
Something really hard to actually attain
what with busy lifestyles of many these days
to me i guess a truly memorable occasion
that i'll never forget

- Interhouse Athletics -
The athletics that i think most yr 11s wagged..
i think i twas since it was joined 11/12 events
this year i guess it was really enthused 12s
since so many participated
but what can you say?
its they're last yr after all..

[Yr 11s on Tour]

[My Dear Cell Group]
- of the Music Tour -
A whole 3 weeks with Chewy, Gar, Sarah, Alison and Nellie
and well nearing 93 other students and a number of teachers
off to Europe!!
Switzerland
England
Wales
Austria
Italy
I love Europe i guess..
driving around and in a few hours you're somewhere new..
tho with the 17kg luggage limit to begin with
and then on return 16kg.. that was just a bit too stressful
what with me leaving perth with 17kg in the first place -.-
the limits to the baggage for us was also due
to the fact we were bringing our intsruments with us
which meant that all those kgs in total were distributed..
of which the harp.. in its casing was already 44KG
and it was only celtic too..
hmm imagine a concert one..
tho the beijing and singaporean orchestras had bought their concert harps..
yes we're only a small city school
competing against national youth orchestras
so i guess we did pretty well in the end..
what with both singapore and beijing getting equal first
and us getting "participation"
mite as well slap on a label of "unsatisfactory"
starting off staying at a youth hostel in switzerland..
where i realised on the bus trip to the hostel..
i wondered why the heck the petrol station would not accept
the currency that my dad had exchanged for me
that was intended to be used in switzerland
of which
later on i realised i had my money in SWEDISH Karonas..
he had miss heard and confused switzerland with sweden
oh well.
it was pretty money tho
- Pericision -
Icky job..
but well.. over and done with
dont wanna think about it
was under local anes..
but missed like a day off school coz of it i think it was
- ABODA Performance -
We got an OUTSANDING!!
that's like FIRST
but it was a shared one..
so EQUAL FIRST!!
WOOT!

- 3rd Aunty Visited -
Nothing speccy i guess..
over for like a week or two
and went over to eastern states

- Interschool Athletics -
Del a CHEERLEADER!?
yep it happened..
and.. well it happened twice..
this year as in 2005
and at the swimming 2006
amazing huh?
not really..

Performance nite
chinese school related? you bet..
this for 2005 they decided to
reenact the story of chang er ben yue
(my chinese/eng pin yin is crap i know)
lucky me..
only had to speak in eng :P
crap bit?
i had to translate it all out myself..
ok in the end i guess. :)
spoke in eng. end of story.
- Vocal Recital -
EVERGREEN!!
yep the song i sung..
not westlife.. but barbra streisand..
and well it was my last vocal recital ever..
im so gonna miss ms auty.
i took voice in yr 12 as well..
but not likely anymore..
she was really nice tho
bought me a pair of earrings as my farewell gift ^^
- Last ever Heather Lamont -
my first "last" of mlc i guess..
my first last heather lamont..
heather lamont is a festival
held by the school to celebrate the arts..
dedicated to a collegian called "Heather Lamont"
who excelled in the arts..
but died tradgically so parents donated money
and well festival named after her
tho don't quote me on that..
the summary's sorta vague...
on the day...
there was a choice of either
trying out for the badminton tournament
or heather lamont..
so i guess the fact i COULDN'T play badminton
meant i wasnt going to enter
and well it WAS the last heather lamont
was a section leader i was..
of arts and craft..
with liz and scar
and i swear
on the night before, the day and the next few weeks
after heather lamont i NEVER wanted to see a card again
i guess im over it now..
but what had happened was since yr 11s were all
revved up to winning their last heather lamont
they said to enter in as many entries as possible
and to try for the less common ones..
such as the arts n crafts devision where few people entered
and one of the easier competitions was "card making"
so nearly EVERYONE in Troy just decided to "make a card"
even i spare tute time..
i swear.. there were the most random cards ever entered.
just for the sake of a single point..
I'M in Troy and i was overwhelmed by the lack of effort
seemed a bit on the despo side for points...
and well judging em??
sorta seemed pretty easy..
what with MANY of them below a viable quality..
- of the rivercruise!! -
Mmm.. not really any piccies from then..
tho an interesting night all the same..
tho i was pretty amazed they played
"rock a by a bear" by the wiggles
due to a reqest O.O
might have been some group thing :S
- of Exams -
First set of actual exams really
and i guess it was something new-ish
althought there were exams in yr 10
it just wasnt the same
like in yr 10 it was clumped up together
cept with two weeks of spread out exams
- Speech Night -
It was the first time that our speech nite
was at the convention centre..
usually held at the concert hall
turned out our booking for it got overrided
so therefore we were kicked out
and left to fend for ourselves
until they found that the convention centre was available
to only suck up all the money needed for the parking of all the parents
anyways..
mass choir again this year
tho lee decided to give it a change
as he's done with quite a number of school things
so instead of the usual latin dark theme songs
it was "Halleluia" and well..
guess what the main word of the song was?
HALLE-F-in-LUIA
basically repeat the word 50 times in different pitches
and there you go you have the song
no not that easy.. and yeah its traditional and all
but BORING
BORING BORING BORING

Taiwan Tour

["Forever A Class"]
- of the Taiwan Tour!! -
Thinking about taiwan..
and to the dear poor souls
who've had to hear me rant about it
ON and ON and ON and ON and ON.
(well you get the point.)
i apologise
but to me i guess it was such a major thing to me
like the experience of 6 weeks away from home
guess you could say it was a "life changing experiences"
and you'd prob hear my endless rants and referrals to it
from the crappiest of the very low emotional
hate directed at some individuals
and some pretty happy times
despite the fact that there were the lows
it really meant something to me
and also living with such great people for 6 weeks
and im amazed there are the few i've still be able to
keep in contact with for the year already
so that's pretty much a BIG thing for me ^^
a major event in my life :)
No words can really express how important you guys are to me
seriously they are really valuable friendships to me
and hearing from anyone one of you just makes me so estatic!
Hopefully can see you guys again soon :)
From the Words of A "Ban" teacher:
Opportunities are for those prepared to take em
Back to event tracking side...
pre plane flight..
we were supposedly meant to meet up with a Samantha
who was meant to accompany us on the flight
somewhere along the way somethign came up as her being 18+
which meant that she was sorta in charge of us
meeting up later on.. found out i was the oldest..
great -.-
i love responsibility :P
with the parents going "look after my kid" -.-
im round their age..
as if i can actually restrict what they do
i aint THAT buff..
sorry cant really manage to restrain a guy
i remember on the plane flight
spending my time insteada actually watching movies..
i spent my time playing either cards..
from stacking them to a varation of 52 pick up :P
to that of learning to play the computerised version of mahjong
which at that time i just clicked randomly to see what happened
then arriving where we spent about half an hour standing around
sorta feeling frantic and
wondering where the people who were meant to pick us up were
because they were no where in sight..
but thank god we managed to meet up ron's cousins
who called em up to find out that they were late coz of some reason :S
with the belief that we were gonna be living in whoop whoop
coz they moved to a different venue due to the fact that the old one
people kept sneaking out at night to go shopping and what not..
(well in the hindsight it sorta was pointless.
didnt stop people from anything)
so we thought we were gonna be sent off somewhere in the country
what with looking out the windows we were pretty surprised..
that hey apparently we were nearing the uni
and WOW there were still buildings
so we werent in whoop whoop in the end
finding out we were ending up in separate dorms
us girls got dropped off first
we wandered up to our room
where finding out even our BEDS were allocated O.o
tho at least we were in the same room
4 bunks per room
with 3 of us girls from the same place
looked like we were gonna have to meet someone new
and get to know how they were
with nothing to do and finding out there was an 18+ girl
who had been there a week earlier than us
we decided to spend some time with her
she showed us around from around the "boarding house"
more of boarding building.. but you know lotsa people
and then sitting there in the food court for dinner..
actually visually fading in and out of what was happening around me
that was pretty scary but moments at that time was pretty surreal
actually time away from sister and the rest of the family.
with the belief that the routine given to us would be really strict
i was amazed that after a few days and weeks
as routine fell in..
and things being cancelled continously
i found that no... this was no boot camp
but a time just enjoy what was happening
i guess with my experiences of cadet promotion camps
i probably likened what my expectations to my past experiences
going back to the dorm we met later that evening
or last room mate
dear K, who i seriously cant believe ive shared so much with
gods girl you are seriously a crazy one..
on the first few days going
i remember particularly one morning
walking into vary cafe as a group..
us room mates
i was pretty surprised to see that there was this guy
strangely running around frantic
asking everyone if they knew how to read the phonetics
whether they used the roman/english letter type
or the taiwanese "b p m f" stuff for the test
what apparently was the supposed 3 hour testing
which had everyone on their nerves
turned out to be a one on one chat with the teachers
to show your level of chinese knowledge
so that it was possible to split the classes
with the large range in chinese ability
they were forced to divide the tour to 3 groups
insteada the intended 2 groups
antoher memorable memory
would be the downfall of the singing teacher
not that i had anything particularly against her
she was trying to teach us to sing jay chou..
alright i guess.
cept the trouble?
her voice was damn annoying
i swear i have never disliked a voice so much
tho i guess i sympathise..
what with 40 people in a class
and of which majority of the people spent their time
either playing cards or talking
all the way for a 3 hour class
but cmon.. 3 hours worth of singing?
as if someone would bother paying attention..
unless you're like me and like singing..
but even i tuned out a bit..
sad to say.. but 3 hours
annoying voice and on top of that
no breaks is sorta a bit much to expect
so in the end she got so hurt
she just quit
to the strange joy of the class :P
participating in the tour
we also had a series of other classes
from that of :
- paper folding/cutting
- taiwanese
(that teacher was SO nice!!)
- hakka
- calligraphy
- kung-fu
- aerobics/yoga
- movie night
(lasted about 1 night coz
everyone fell asleep during the movie)
- field trip outta school grounds
and possibly some others but i cant remember anymore
memory-wise..
i just thought of the ALLEGED B-class teacher rivalry
where apparently the teacher of B-Class was so proud of her class
that the students of A-class swore that she was taking measures
to put our class down..
see, the tour was based on a points system
where later on.. awards were given
and also after a certain number of minus points
you'd appparently not graduate
and the conspiracy going around
was that she was learning
the names to the members of our class
so that she could put demerit points on us
tho the second rumour that went around
was that she wanted to change the ending to our play
that we had made for the end of tour concert
you see their class had theirs together
way before our class
and it was some time after the dress rehersal
on the day of the concert
that apparently she suggested that the ending to our play
was too sad and needed to be changed
and well changing a play script and rehersing it
one hour before the actual performance
which was all in chinese in the first place
sorta seemed impossible
ah well... rumors..
there were many other occurences
but i dont actually wanna voice any of those
related to the darker tone of the tour
some of the more memorable places for shopping tho:P
i swear the uni bookshop had EVERYTHING
funny.. i kept putting it back
and saying i'd shop for supplies before i left
didnt end up happening
but i swear it was stationary heaven
as quite a lotta places are in asian countries
a surprising thing as well
was that i managed to keep in contact with faye
faye was one of the uni students who helped us along
and im surprised we talk actually once in a while
so yeah im happy about that
atm i swear i miss the "family mart"
there still aint an equiv ive found in perth yet
tho if there were..
there's none near my place.. :(
not as convenient as
just racing someone *cough*K*cough* down stairs
lol a whole 8 levels worth of stairs
to get at the last onigiri in the fridge
or the last pocky
or even just to raid the new stock worth of onigiri
i swear.. the poor family mart dude went through a lot
whilst we were there..
speaking of the family mart
great memories are sorta implanted there
from the dares which related to him
just coz he was on the grave yard shift
to the LOVELY msn magnets you could collect!!
omg i swear.. kept going down hoping to spend enough
so i could do a lucky dip for those msn emoticon magnets
*drools* damnit i miss my daily/nightly onigiri and pocky fix
mm and atm im all thought out.. memory wise.
there were so many elements to making it the way it was
tho going on it again would possibly be a whole
nother different experience what with different people
and well would be harder to compare to this one
as ive seen the possibilities in this one
the expectations would be higher
but you guys are the best (yes you too scar) !! :)
probs coz im starting to get distracted by msn..
the stream before was longer coz no one was online
shall leave it at that..
*first time i got tipsy :P
of which i shall not divulge any details at all right here..
Seriously,
2005 was an amazing year of new travels
and oppotunities TAKEN actually taken
and well.. sorta slightly followed through
but you know..
its amazing
*screams*
thanx for the FANTABULOUS year..
that was 2 years ago..
well luv y'all always
*hugs*
-Del
mite as well start something im gonna procrastinate over
(Note: this post was started Feb of this yr..
therefore details may be sketchy..
or i may have different views to what i may have had then..
and also parts of this may get choppy as well..
Yr 11..

-.-
- Buddha's B'day -
This year..
i remember having to teach the dance i did the year before
to more ppl so they'd have to dance too
cept in the end it rained..
the stage was too slippery
so no one had to do it..
yet we all got vouchers to go round for stuff :P

with the parents going "look after my kid" -.-
im round their age..
as if i can actually restrict what they do
i aint THAT buff..
sorry cant really manage to restrain a guy
i remember on the plane flight
spending my time insteada actually watching movies..
i spent my time playing either cards..
from stacking them to a varation of 52 pick up :P
to that of learning to play the computerised version of mahjong
which at that time i just clicked randomly to see what happened
then arriving where we spent about half an hour standing around
sorta feeling frantic and
wondering where the people who were meant to pick us up were
because they were no where in sight..
but thank god we managed to meet up ron's cousins
who called em up to find out that they were late coz of some reason :S
with the belief that we were gonna be living in whoop whoop
coz they moved to a different venue due to the fact that the old one
people kept sneaking out at night to go shopping and what not..
(well in the hindsight it sorta was pointless.
didnt stop people from anything)
so we thought we were gonna be sent off somewhere in the country
what with looking out the windows we were pretty surprised..
that hey apparently we were nearing the uni
and WOW there were still buildings
so we werent in whoop whoop in the end
finding out we were ending up in separate dorms
us girls got dropped off first
we wandered up to our room
where finding out even our BEDS were allocated O.o
tho at least we were in the same room
4 bunks per room
with 3 of us girls from the same place
looked like we were gonna have to meet someone new
and get to know how they were
with nothing to do and finding out there was an 18+ girl
who had been there a week earlier than us
we decided to spend some time with her
she showed us around from around the "boarding house"
more of boarding building.. but you know lotsa people
and then sitting there in the food court for dinner..
actually visually fading in and out of what was happening around me
that was pretty scary but moments at that time was pretty surreal
actually time away from sister and the rest of the family.
with the belief that the routine given to us would be really strict
i was amazed that after a few days and weeks
as routine fell in..
and things being cancelled continously
i found that no... this was no boot camp
but a time just enjoy what was happening
i guess with my experiences of cadet promotion camps
i probably likened what my expectations to my past experiences
going back to the dorm we met later that evening
or last room mate
dear K, who i seriously cant believe ive shared so much with
gods girl you are seriously a crazy one..
on the first few days going
i remember particularly one morning
walking into vary cafe as a group..
us room mates
i was pretty surprised to see that there was this guy
strangely running around frantic
asking everyone if they knew how to read the phonetics
whether they used the roman/english letter type
or the taiwanese "b p m f" stuff for the test
what apparently was the supposed 3 hour testing
which had everyone on their nerves
turned out to be a one on one chat with the teachers
to show your level of chinese knowledge
so that it was possible to split the classes
with the large range in chinese ability
they were forced to divide the tour to 3 groups
insteada the intended 2 groups
antoher memorable memory
would be the downfall of the singing teacher
not that i had anything particularly against her
she was trying to teach us to sing jay chou..
alright i guess.
cept the trouble?
her voice was damn annoying
i swear i have never disliked a voice so much
tho i guess i sympathise..
what with 40 people in a class
and of which majority of the people spent their time
either playing cards or talking
all the way for a 3 hour class
but cmon.. 3 hours worth of singing?
as if someone would bother paying attention..
unless you're like me and like singing..
but even i tuned out a bit..
sad to say.. but 3 hours
annoying voice and on top of that
no breaks is sorta a bit much to expect
so in the end she got so hurt
she just quit
to the strange joy of the class :P
participating in the tour
we also had a series of other classes
from that of :
- paper folding/cutting
- taiwanese
(that teacher was SO nice!!)
- hakka
- calligraphy
- kung-fu
- aerobics/yoga
- movie night
(lasted about 1 night coz
everyone fell asleep during the movie)
- field trip outta school grounds
and possibly some others but i cant remember anymore
memory-wise..
i just thought of the ALLEGED B-class teacher rivalry
where apparently the teacher of B-Class was so proud of her class
that the students of A-class swore that she was taking measures
to put our class down..
see, the tour was based on a points system
where later on.. awards were given
and also after a certain number of minus points
you'd appparently not graduate
and the conspiracy going around
was that she was learning
the names to the members of our class
so that she could put demerit points on us
tho the second rumour that went around
was that she wanted to change the ending to our play
that we had made for the end of tour concert
you see their class had theirs together
way before our class
and it was some time after the dress rehersal
on the day of the concert
that apparently she suggested that the ending to our play
was too sad and needed to be changed
and well changing a play script and rehersing it
one hour before the actual performance
which was all in chinese in the first place
sorta seemed impossible
ah well... rumors..
there were many other occurences
but i dont actually wanna voice any of those
related to the darker tone of the tour
some of the more memorable places for shopping tho:P
i swear the uni bookshop had EVERYTHING
funny.. i kept putting it back
and saying i'd shop for supplies before i left
didnt end up happening
but i swear it was stationary heaven
as quite a lotta places are in asian countries
a surprising thing as well
was that i managed to keep in contact with faye
faye was one of the uni students who helped us along
and im surprised we talk actually once in a while
so yeah im happy about that
atm i swear i miss the "family mart"
there still aint an equiv ive found in perth yet
tho if there were..
there's none near my place.. :(
not as convenient as
just racing someone *cough*K*cough* down stairs
lol a whole 8 levels worth of stairs
to get at the last onigiri in the fridge
or the last pocky
or even just to raid the new stock worth of onigiri
i swear.. the poor family mart dude went through a lot
whilst we were there..
speaking of the family mart
great memories are sorta implanted there
from the dares which related to him
just coz he was on the grave yard shift
to the LOVELY msn magnets you could collect!!
omg i swear.. kept going down hoping to spend enough
so i could do a lucky dip for those msn emoticon magnets
*drools* damnit i miss my daily/nightly onigiri and pocky fix
mm and atm im all thought out.. memory wise.
there were so many elements to making it the way it was
tho going on it again would possibly be a whole
nother different experience what with different people
and well would be harder to compare to this one
as ive seen the possibilities in this one
the expectations would be higher
but you guys are the best (yes you too scar) !! :)
probs coz im starting to get distracted by msn..
the stream before was longer coz no one was online
shall leave it at that..
*first time i got tipsy :P
of which i shall not divulge any details at all right here..
Seriously,
2005 was an amazing year of new travels
and oppotunities TAKEN actually taken
and well.. sorta slightly followed through
but you know..
its amazing
*screams*
thanx for the FANTABULOUS year..
that was 2 years ago..
well luv y'all always
*hugs*

Work Antics
you know..
i thought i did this post.
but its no where in sight..
or i deleted it cos it was pointless
or that i couldnt see it
ah well
just strange occurences at work
and well for the past few weeks
i have really no memory of them
when it comes to work
it just happens..
goes by
and that was it
tho since ive decided im gonna get this post done tonight
might as well
despite the fact i didnt have work today
just gotta relive and sift through
the last few days/weeks of my life
to see if there was anything of particular
strangeness or rant-worthy
Story One: Del a Mother!?
Out at the resto
sitting around since i had finished work
but was too lazy to get home
so decided to sit around at the resto.
one of the staff who works nearly every day
brought her kid down coz there was noone to care for him
so he was running amock
so i decided to just like watch over him and such
the resto started to get more and more busy
and having him runn around the dining area
wasnt exacrty that good
what with him actually running around half naked..
yep he was not wearing his shirt coz he refused to wear it :S
got wilder and wilder
and then he took one of the teatowels
ran outside with it and started spinning it around
having enough i went outside to fetch him
and everyone was giving me these really weird looks and glares..
i was thinking "what the hell..?"
anyways..
night goes on
and then one of the guys at the tables decides to pay
i walked past whilst he was paying and he said:
"excuse me, just wondering was that your son?"
O.o
the guy who asked was somewhere in what?
his middle ages to elderly
-.-
MY FREAKING SON?
im not THAT old gosh.. -.-
worst on worst?
yeah possibility.. cept for the fact
that the kid wasnt what? 1or 2 or 3 or 4 years old
the kid was EIGHT years old..
that woulda been me being bout what? TEN when i had him
gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ><
and oh by now probs lots of people have heard this story
so yep.. that was the full complaint over and done with
outta my system at last :)
Story Two: Del on the radio!?!?
End of work.. had to run some last min errands
(hmm why is it at the end of the day things happen?)
probs coz i start waking up at the end of the shift..
anyways
walk to the resto to get a drink
just bout to leave then some customer waves me over
customer: hey you're _____________'s daughter right?
me: um. yeah
customer: Congrats on getting into med!!
customer: I heard you got a pretty good TER
me: :S um sorry but no, i didn't get into med
customer: but you're ____________'s daughter yes?
me: yes. I am.
customer: but then you're TEE would have been really good then?
me: no, it was just average
customer: oh sorry then, so what did you get in?
me: health science
customer: oh really? what does that go to?
me: health realated job?
customer: i'm sure you did really well, after all we heard you did well on the radio
me: Radio?! O.o
customer: yes
me: um. I think you've got some sort of mistake
customer: no that's we heard you really are ____________'s daughter right?
if yes then that's you, and you did well
we heard [insert name of some radio broadcaster ive never heard of]say it on the radio
me: ... ok i gotta go finish of a job.. enjoy dinnner :)
strange i tell you..
tho later on found out from mum
that dad knows some radio broadcaster...
-.-
that would explain alot now that i found out but ok...
Story Three: Um.. no longer existant
cant think of any more stories to add
sorta forgotten a lotta events by now
so yeah
end and publish of post :)

I Don't Care....
You know?
at the moment? the things i've been thinking about?
i just wonder if i really do care with what's going on?
people say this or that
and then i end up thinking about em later on
i wonder if yeah it actually got to me?
or just the fact that well there's nothing better to do
but sit/stand there and think
about the day/week's worth of conversations and happenings
yep. sometimes i dont have enough conversations to surfice
so end up thinking about the week
in doing that i sorta sort through the rest of my mind
and yet sometimes it just feels as if im going over the same thing
all over again
thinking about well maybe has this come up before?
or just a passing comment someone else had made
but at the same time that the similar comment come up
could it be true?
should i publish this anyways?
dunno..
thinking thinking
more of mind just blanked over msn and forgot bout this huh?
but thinking about whether or not i care bout things
i think back to the days
when i just say i dont care bout things
just the things that go around
would i just be running away from something?
or just the fact that well i basically DIDN'T care
and that was the end of the story
i guess with the changes taht go around for everyone
its just that your thoughts just change
what you didn't care for before
may become something so much more later on
or...
it was just a case of laziness
that i couldnt be bothered
with caring enough to do anything about some things
lol talk about me being vague??
bleh
topic atm = pointless
i lost my point
and i dont have a view anymores at the current moment
so end it here
nite nite

Worlds of Existence
Note: this post is a result of a number
of scattered different writing times
therefore the reference of "world of existence"
or sphere or whatever it is
manages to vary on what it represents
or means and such
so if you dont understand its ok..
coz i havent read this thing from top to bottom before
so i dont even know if it makes sense :)
and also that its something i've thought quite alot bout lately
so really makes it into a multilevel thing possibly?
ah well read however you like if you dare to read
or waste your time :)
Hmm..
and yet again i think i've gained
ANOTHER few multitudes
of draft posts
no i dont write em for just noting.
just that what happens is i never fully get over
finishing what i wanted to say in the first place
it just gets stuck under "drafts"
so yep
and well what with work
you suddenly realise.. why the heck
does there seem to be so much time during work?
and none at home?
ah well i did wanna get outta the house
im not getting paid and that really leads to
me just standing around and doing minimal crap
from reading newspapers to mags
to spending my time cutting up cigarette cartons
so that we recycle the cardboard for pricing of fruit n veges.
you know
thinking over and over
there's this same topic i keep wanting to talk bout
but it spans over so many things
but i think i've finally sorta found a title
to encompass it all..
so that's pretty good
just gotta get it down in words and finished too..
its just that there was once a quote i got
before year 8 from the lady at ALW
the idea of believing in yourself
that if you think that its possible for yourself
anything is within reach
but live the life of a pessimist
nothing may happen
even if its in your wildest dreams
its not attainable
but in the idea of belief and your own thoughts
it turned my thoughts to different people
the fact that whether you believe you ARE right
you think you're right
what you WANT to believe is presented before you
you're most likely to believe it
that you believe it because that's what you want to believe
the supporting evidence whatever it maybe
whether or not is true or not
you'll take it as solid evidence
because it gives you a reason to believe
and what person likes to be wrong?
that what they want to think
could be possibly outside of their own ideals
of their "sphere of existence"
guess that's how misunderstandings
and well arguments arise really
the fact that both people's
lil sphere's of belief clash
the supposed supremecy over the other
that each believe they in their own right
are well..
yeah can say im also a victim of that too :P
what exists around you
you believe right?
you're more aware of what happens to you
you care bout what happens to you
you're blinded by what you know
coz you believe that the world that revolves around you
is the only one that exists?
after all that's what's the most important
in everyone's own interest
your own survival, or the survival of your own
you care for what's around you
its what's the main thing that happens in your life
your world, your small scale existence..
the greatest things that change even if to others
that its on such a small scale
the change in itself can rock your world
and when you just feel as if you wanna let it out
or just wanna share your thoughts
but no matter how you express it
the exact same occrences within one world
just wont equate to the same thing in the next
they say that the whole transcention of expression
through music and such but the degree of
the emotions actually felt through
the actual experience
its seomthing taht everyone knows
from the single slight of
"my parents dont understand what its like"
to the emo ideal of
"you dont know what its like to be me"
you can try to explain
you can bitch
you can write it down
do wahtever you like
but its not the same
what ever happened in the last second of your world
is irretrievable
what you choose to do with the time lost is up to you
but no matter what you do to try to understand
from the hearing point of view
you'll never actually get the exact same sensation
you can sympathise
and have had a similar occurence
but for every single person it'll be different
the different series of events in your lil lifeline
means that you'd be more prepared for somethings
than other things
what you've been exposed to in your own world
shapes your thoughts on things
and from a slight bump of worlds
i just spend my time wondering how the heck
that some people mindlessly doing what they do
and spend my time wondering..
where the hell has the concern for others gone?
or more of the world that we live in
and the fact we face a water shortage
(the lady had it on highest the tap would go
and just stood there whilst the water ran down the sink
whilst she spent her time ripping up bits of paper towel
the reason to later be that she wanted to dry her hands
with ripped up bits of paper towel and to turn it off
using those bits of paper towel..
but she coulda ripped it up and put it on the dry bits of the sink
BEFORE HAND of which yes there WERE dry bits of sink)
funny this
my very very very main point of this
was the very point that wasnt included so far
i guess for me
what it was was a recount of an occurence
which for me was something that i found pretty much
an ignorant comment on the commentator
but still soemthign that i found pretty damn offending
i guess when you dont realise what you're saying
and dont take into the fact that there are situations
surrounding everyone
the baggage of their lil bubble world which they carry
everywhere they go with them
the mental baggage that affects what they do and think
and when the extra stress of the passing of a loved one
that's something that well
its soemthing that you cant really in a passing comment
joke about the reactions of someone to the loss
its something you cant compare
what with different relations between different people
i understood the reasoning behind the comment
for the usual sakes of comfort
in the dealing of grief
but when you first meet someone
should that really be the thing really said from the start?
and something to joke about?
the reactions of any single person to pain??
so really these days
i wonder where the compassion has gone in some
nite..
*hugs*

using those bits of paper towel..
but she coulda ripped it up and put it on the dry bits of the sink
BEFORE HAND of which yes there WERE dry bits of sink)
funny this
my very very very main point of this
was the very point that wasnt included so far
i guess for me
what it was was a recount of an occurence
which for me was something that i found pretty much
an ignorant comment on the commentator
but still soemthign that i found pretty damn offending
i guess when you dont realise what you're saying
and dont take into the fact that there are situations
surrounding everyone
the baggage of their lil bubble world which they carry
everywhere they go with them
the mental baggage that affects what they do and think
and when the extra stress of the passing of a loved one
that's something that well
its soemthing that you cant really in a passing comment
joke about the reactions of someone to the loss
its something you cant compare
what with different relations between different people
i understood the reasoning behind the comment
for the usual sakes of comfort
in the dealing of grief
but when you first meet someone
should that really be the thing really said from the start?
and something to joke about?
the reactions of any single person to pain??
so really these days
i wonder where the compassion has gone in some
nite..

Mirrors, Reflections, Truthes, Opinions and Aussie Day
Post-post WARNING: VVVVVVV long post
(worst so far)
due to the fact that there's like 2 articles
from the paper that've been included..
For the last few days
i guess the title sorta sums up
what i've been thinking of the last few-ish days
meanwhilst lina's been wondering
why i wont rite in full paras
the multitude of dots tho
if the text started moving
it mite slighly seem like some hypnotic illusion
Illusions..
Don't you love the those mirrors in those amusement parks?
like i the house of mirrors?
yep i know that you know what im talking about
tho cant really say that their illusions..
more of disortions?
but anyways
when you look into a mirror it just reminds me
makes me think of reflections
(mind you this is coming from someone who
rarely looks into mirrors in the standard day
they're sorta more like objects in the house
you walk past and ignore
hmmm.. could be why i look at my reflection
in windows on the street? maybe? :S)
hmm funny that.. ive yet one to publish..
but anyways..
with the curved mirrors everyone knows that you see a distortion
yet when you look into a plain mirror you just think that what
you see is what is really there..
well ok.. it is what with it turing out to be
the upright, unskewered and same size
but its back to front
and well if you angle a mirror over
you see different things instead of your reflection
sorta like those seeing things in those submarines?
im getting more and more lost for words by the day
due to lack of school..
what ever little vocab i had to start with
has totally diminished..
anyways
back to the mirrors..
so what you see reflected.
sorta like when you look back on yourself
you can see different things
when you look and think back and
when the mirrors tilted all you could possibly see
is some totally pessimistic view of what your life has been
or could just be the idealistic view of what you think others see
something that's totally unrealistic
or
you could just be the realistic one
self analysing and
know what you're like and understand yourself pretty well
and the reflection you see is pretty much the same
and yet.. despite that
its horizontally inverted (yay physics! not)
so there are those discrepancies that are there
but its pretty much down pat
when you "reflect" what you see..
everyone has their past
or their features that they dislike
it makes you sqirm or just feel a plain dislike
but its part of what's formed who you are
or more of what you see as yourself
and yet..
over time what you see changes
everyone grows up..
well not exactly..
more of everyone changes all the time
a slight accident and you're reflection
could be completely different
or something arranged to be done
(hehe.. wisdom teethe removal
AND eye thingy in the same hols?!)
events occur and what you see for that moment may change
and visiting the amusement parks?
its a sudden distortion
and you're reflection's entirely twisted and bent
so as you "age" your "reflection" changes
how you see yourself and how you think others see you
but what you see reflecting back one moment that was once there
might not be some time later
just like memories that fade
they either stay or they change to something else
i've said before that there's nothing time can't heal
just that the degree of healing varies
whether physical or the emotional or other..
but sometimes wounds get reopened
and relapses do occur.
and on that i think im totally offtrack
from my intentional first point which relates to reflections
-
in the last few days, what with work and all..
i found the opinions section and the letters to the editor
is pretty interesting..
mind you once again.. we dont usually get newspaper at home
other than the community one of which most of the time
i dont bother opening them anyways
and for why they're interesing?
and well on Aust day..
typing these articles out
sitting here i can stilll hear the shouts of
"Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!"
eminating through my window from the neighbours house
i guess the two articles below from the opinion section
of the West on Tuesday sorta well its slightly relavent..
Interesting huh?
the flag and apparent patriotism..
i guess the main reasons for the compulsion
to put them on the blog
is the fact that it feels relavent to thoughts ive had before
the fact that there's the apparent multiculturalism
and at the same time sometiems slights of the whole racism thing
like you cant reject the whole idea that aust is multicultural
but at the same time you cant say that everyone is entirely accepting
the majority is that everyone is friendly
but there will always be times taht for some reason or the other
and well the other person on the receiving end can take it as they like
on the flag
the thing is that i sort of do agree.
with the title of the first article
"flags should be flown not worn"
not that im against the flag being printed on shirts
but more of the whole flags being tied around shoulders
im not totally AGAINST it..
its tolerable but something that shouldnt really be done
is how i see it i guess
i dunno i just see it as something thats
pretty much disrespectful..
the fact that under that flag many people had died
to serve the country and yet..
the flag is wrapped around the people
and other times
being turned to items of clothing
such as flags sewn together to make tops/skirts/sarongs
and even the aust flag print as a bikini
like a flag printed on a t-shirt is ok
and yeah people are proud bout being aust
that's understandable
i'm proud too
just that i wouldnt actually wear it in such a way
and well the fact that it occurs
i could just push the blame
as one does :P
and just say that people cant see the significance in it
or they do and well just dont feel
the need to respect it the same way in which i do
everyone to their own
but you can also blame on the lack of knowledge
not knowing due to not being taught
it doesnt just represent a country that you live in
it represents all those who've died in war
and the history of the place
values n beliefs.. and im rambling on that..
i guess in a way i can say that i've been lucky
to have actually gotten the chance
to learn what i've learnt
getting a pretty good education to from what i hear
of other students and their memories of primary school
or just that those individuals forgot how primary school was
but
i remember in preprimary..
one of the earliest things i learnt
was the words to the australian anthem
we had a class where every afternoon we learnt one line
repeating it over and over and over and over
and the lines we'd learnt previously
until we'd memorised every line up until where we'd learnt
and then going home everyday
proudly reciting to mum what i'd learnt that day
the new line and what each word had meant
the entire meaning of the anthem
well the first of the five verses that is
and yet
you hear on the radio these days
people wondering what the word "girt" means
or that they dont know the full words
to the first verse of the aust anthem
and yet there's those who run around with the pride
and yet lack of knowledge
im surprised
and its not like the resources arent out there
the fact that ive even seen a BOOK
with pix and all showing the aust anthem
and explainign the meanings of the lines
in the CHILDRENS library
so why dont people know?
they just werent taught in primary school like i did??
so i guess im lucky i know the first two verses now dont i?
and yet..
i wonder how i could be labelled
as someone who doesnt love my home country?
ah well..
just cos i say its boring dont mean i dont love it :D
just isnt that much stuff around to do..
and the flag?
i remember as a primary school student
in year three the first day of school
was that instead of being
introduced to all the ways of the year
we were each handed out a copy of the Australian Flag
and were told to colour it in..
nope no hard work..
just colouring in a flag
i looked at it and recognised it
but i didnt understand they were there fore
and yep
in that afternoon we had the explaination
of what the union jack, the southern cross
and federation star were and meant
and yet im surprised that recently
i was asked by someone a few years younger than me
that means highschool student yeah?
bout how the 5 starts relates to the states and terrortories
AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
they got the southern cross mixed up with the fed star !!
-.-
*sigh*
how can you not know how the flag works??
anyways...
despite my amazement
i was even more amazed to hear that a friend
was learning which oceans were where again
good thing she was refreshing her memory
but then i realised when i asked her
that she'd never actually learning
DESPITE the fact that
i had to memorise them in primary school
AND you needed to know where they were for
YEAR EIGHT geog
i had to know htem in year FIVE
a GRADUATE from HIGHSCHOOL
didnt know what the oceans were or where they were.
what the HELL is wrong with people's learning?
she claimed to have spent year SEVEN playing with playdough
for science
*sigh*
i had crappy science teacher in year seven
never actually get to do the experiments
but we still had to do the write ups
so what the heck??
is there such a god damned difference
in the primary school standards???
oh and before you say anything
to even out the odds of the possible
private vs. public education clash
its clarified i graduated a public primary school
so why?? why such wide standard differences?
i dont understand that
and it primary school..
you raise the flag
have the roster duty for bell ringing
you have the class camps
you should also have the general basic knowledge
of your country's own anthem and flag
that is if you're proud to be a citizen
not spending the time sewing flags together
to make garments
just for a single event where there's tendency
for people to binge drink.
celebrate yes.. but reasonably please??
of which today (Sat 27th)
found an amusing cartoon in the paper..
couldnt resist ^^

since lina's complaining on the size of my post
and the fact that im typing this is restricting her convo
and use of the keyboard i shall stop

- Flags are meant to be flown, not worn -
Paul Murray
Flags, like all powerful symbols, can be troublesome. Just look at the swastika. More than 60 years after Hitler there are regular moves within the European Union to ban it. And the last time that push raisted its head, it was met with calls to ban the hammer and sickle as well.
For some reason the Rising Sun flag with the radiating red arms makes me feel uncomfortable. The emblematic nature of a flag can make it a rallying call for a range of passionate issues not overtly described within its borders.
One of the continuing controversies between Greece and the Republic of Macedonia is over the symbol called the Star of Vergina, rediscovered by archeologists in 1977. Both countries claim it as their link to Alexander the Great and his father, King Phillip. So that dispute dates back to 336BC at least.
Our flag is much newer, but it can be just as potent. Many of those who provoked the first incidents in the Cronulla race riots on December 11,2005, were draped in the national flag. They proved the aphorism that patriotism - misplaced - is the last refuge of the scoundrel.
Prime Minister John Howard does not oppose the burning of the national flag as legitimate form of protest, but he was put on the spot about using it as provocative symbol in an exchange with Ellen Fanning on Channel 9's A Current Affair the day after the riots.Fanning: "Part of what was chilling yesterday was seeing a lot of people in between the violence doing things that you'd see at the cricket, singing 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi', wrapping themselves in the Australian Flag. What do you say to people who use the Australian Flag in that way?"
Mr Howard: "Look, I would never condemn people for being proud of the Australian flag. I don't care - I would never condemn people for being proud."
Fanning: "What if they've got a beer in one hand and a baseball bat in the other?"
Mr Howard: "Now hang on. What I condemn is loutish behaviour, criminal behaviour, and what should happen, is, the people who committed crimes yesterday should be caught, if possible, and punished."
Fears of a similar outbreak have led the organisers of a Big Day Out concert in Sydney this week to make it known that the flag is unwelcome after a series of racist incidents last year.
"The Australian flag was being used as gang colours," event organiser Ken West said, "It was racism disguised as patriotism and I'm not going to tolerate it." Fresh in his mind also was the clash between young Australians of Serbian and Croatian extraction - some draped in those national flags - clashing at the Australian Open tennis last week.
The bottom line is that flags were not meant to be worn. When a flag is removed froma proper place of respect it becomes open to misuse. It wasn't Pauline Hanson's maiden speech that alerted me to the pernicious nature of her politics. It was when I first saw her wrapped in the flag.
Athletes now regularly drape a flag over themselves for a victory lap. All of this leads to the situation where the flag's power is harnessed for an individual's own purposes.
If we had proper civics education in our schools we might have a chance of teaching people about the correct use of our national symbols. We legislatively protect the name ANZAC from misuse, but there is no such protection for the flag.
Asking that the flag used as it was intended is not un-Australian, but quite the opposite. The Big Day Out concert is not an Australia Day concert. It is not even being held on Australia Day. That said, any suggestion of banning our flag from the public place is provocative and unworkable.
However, politicians and the RSL would do well to start talking about true respect for the flag instead of joining the jingoistic chorus.
- Big Day Out in a True Blue Flap -
Gerard Henderson
Director of The Sydney Institute.
Talk about backing a loser.
The organisers of the Big Day Out concert in Sydney on Thursday were on a hiding to nothing when they indicated that the Australian flag would not be welcome at the Sydney gig but would be welcome when the event travels to other cities (including Perth on February 4).
The reaction was so predictable that it should have been predicted by the Big Day Out team.
John Howard condemned the decision on Sunday and yesterday Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd weighed into the debate by describing it as "political correctness gone mad".
NSW Premier Morris Iemma and Opposition Leader Peter Debnam joined in the chorus.
In recent years there seems to have been a surge of patriotism in Australia, especially among the young. This whould be distinguished from nationalism, which usually has an ideological connotation.
Patriotism essentially involved citizents of a nation feeling good about their society. As such, patriotism is almost always a healthy phenomenon. In Australia it has been associated with both the waving and the wearing of the Australian flag.
It's true that, on occasions, the flag has been associated with acts of intolerance. But these are exceptions since Australia is a remarkably tolerant and accepting society.
The statistics tell the story. In Australia ethnically motivated crime is relatively low and inter-marriage between virtually all groups in our multicultural society is relatively high.
Australia Day has become an occasion when citizens celebrate the nation's success. No doubt, the feel-good factor has been propelled in recent years by the fact that Australia has experienced some 15 years of economic growth and the unemployment rate has more than halved in this process.
In other words, there are plenty of reasons to feel good.
In spite of this, a sense of alienation still prevails in the land. This phenomenon is rarely found among the less well-off groups in the community but abounds within the sections of the financially comfortable intelligentsia - humanities department academics, writers, artists, journalists and so on.
At the moment there is a tendency among sections of the intelligentsia to declare that Australia is intolerant, even racist, society and that Australians are inherently unhappy despite their relative economic wellbeing.
What's more, the suggestion is that Australians are not smart enough to know just how suppressed and unhappy they really are.
If anyone is in any doubt about just how foolish we all are, turn to the month of February in Michael Leunig's 2007 Calendar. There the cartoonist depicts a man on a soapbox smugly proclaiming that "you only need to fool a majority of people for one day every few years - and you've got a democracy!"
The statement is appreciated by the audience, who welcome the pronouncement with the fascist salute. Get it? We're all too foolish to know that we have been manipulated into believing we live in a democracy when, in fact, we reside in some kind of dictatorship.
There are many variations on this theme. Writing in The Age on September 9 last year, playwright Stephen Sewell proclaimed that "it is difficult, contemplating contemporary events, not to despair of the human adventure" and alleged that we have all failed in "the civilising of our own barbarous spirit". Sewell claims that "the real source of hope in any society is the artist" and regrets that artists like him are "being replaced by hacks, drones, spin doctors and media manipulators as the generators and regurgitators of an official culture".
Shame, eh? Even so, the artist still makes a living in the taxpayer-subsidised theatre industry. So life can't be so bad, surely?
A year ago, Wollongong University humanities academic Peter Kell claimed that "an ugly, racist version of Australian nationalism is alive and well" in Sydney and referred to contemporary Australia's "bigoted, intolerant and selfish attitudes" in a nation that has "broken apart". He implied some of these problems might be abated if the Commonwealth Government spent more money on universities and, of course, humanities departments.
In his 2006 Stephen Murray-Smith Lecture, author and journalist Martin Flanagan referred to Australia as a country "afflicted with blindness that needs repair", detected "weird things in our national psyche" and referred to "the awful despair that now lies at the heart of our nation".
In The Guardian last Friday, the leftist journalist John Pilger wrote about the "regression" of Australia's "social democracy into a state of fabricated fear and xenophobia" which should be "an object lesson for all societies claiming to be free".
Novelist Frank Moorhouse presents a much more measured critique of Australia in his essay in the September 2006 issue of teh Griffith Review.
He criticises his colleagues who present "an unwillingness to believe that Australia is seriously threatened by terrorism" and he describes the use of the term fascism as "one of the most carelessly used political expressions in Australia".
Even so, Moorhouse believes that the Commonwealth and State anti-terror laws mean that "the Government will probably have to send some of us to jail" just because he and his fellow artists "speak their minds". An unlikely prediction.
THe fact is, as Sewell knows, the Government is not that interested in what artists say. Rather, it is focused on what real terrorists might do.
Australia Day, once again, is likely to prove the doomsaying members of the intelligentsia wrong. Increasingly January 26 is coming to depict the success of multicultural Australia.
The problem is that some alienated intellectuals continually project their personal unhappiness with Australian society on the overwhelming majority of the citizens who rejoice in their citizenship.
It is likely that Australians will continue to put out more flags irrespective of the Big Day Out.
