work rant?
yes i just got back from work.
not that it was planned..
Number One:
but yeah. one of the staff lost their voice
so i was called up..
surpising thing..?
i got there n she was at work... :S
ok that aside from the fact she was up for work
despite being unable to properly communicate verbally
and on top of that...?
she did her usual..
running around taking the majority of the orders..
so question.. what was i meant to be there for?
not saying that i didnt want her working
coz that woulda been worse.. but it puzzles me
if you cant talk to the customers
AND you're sick..
stay at home n rest
so that you're fit for the next time
why run the risk of infecting others..
and on top of that..
if you really wanted to work..
couldnt she have found jobs like bringing out dishes
or taking finished plates in?
nope.. guess not..
it always seems like
its against her nature to do such things
i always end up doing all that..
despite the fact today..
i was the one able to talk
Number Two:
it was getting later into the night
so not as busy..
so there were a number of tables free
and a table of four near the fridge
that had a 'reserved' label thing on it
and this table.. is like the worst table you can get
most people refuse to sit there
but only will sit there if there's no other tables
as it's right next to the fridge..
what does that mean?
it means that sitting there
you get a blast of cold air at you
everytime someone wants something from the fidge
a couple come in asking for a table for two
and im like sure..
you can have any table that's available now
preferablly tables of two tho.
they see the reserved one..
and they want that one.
so im like. um k.
unsure if it was reserved still
asked the reservation lady
and she says no. make them sit on tables of 2
so im like.. ok..
could you choose some other table?
they're like no. we want THAT table

n i was like sorry. but its like taken
n that was it.
they left..
see it really really really confuzzles me.
why want the table no on else wants
and on top of that.
the fact that its reserved
and refuse to sit anywhere else
there was like a choice of like 5 other tables
but no. they left
they'd rather sit THERE or not eat at all
O.o
unless they wanted a table with a 'resereved' sign on it???

no i wasnt meaning that in particular

and sometimes to people's curiosities
maybe it's just me.
liking to keep some details of my life to myself
but some details i like to keep disclosed

yeah its ok if they're just curious..
like just comes up in a convo
'where do you live?'
if its a uni person?
usual answer? oh near here..
maybe note that it's a walkable distance..?
or more of bus-sable since i bus it all the time to uni
yeah that's easy to answer
i dont mind it at all..
otherwise.. i'd just say i live near uni..
pretty much the same
and then they leave it that and conversation continues..
but what annoys me?
'oh really?'
then continues on to
'which suburb?'
mm that's still alright
i'll willingly answer that if they REALLY wanna know
and if i sorta feel like i wouldnt mind them knowing.
but then it continues..
'which street?'
this is where i stumble
when it comes to this..
i start thinking.
should i lie or not?
i dont want people knowing so closely..
it irritates me.. truly it does.
problem?
choosing a street nearby.
but..
there was a particular incident..
which happened recently..
which drove me to the point of
wanting to be antisocial at that moment.
just close up and ignore them..
what did they ask after the street?

'somewhere around uni'

'a walkable distance from here'

'about 15 mins walk to be exact'
and they give up ^^
i think by that time you really realise

much easier ^^

and they asked me where i was going
'home' was the answer
'oh really?'
'yeah im getting off the bus now'
'oh ok so which street do you live on?'
